Image Resizer (“the App”) is a macOS app that resizes images on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your choices.
1. Data We Collect
Image Resizer is designed to be privacy-first.
- We do not collect, store, or sell personal data on our servers.
- We do not require account creation.
- We do not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs.
2. Files and Image Processing
- Your images are processed locally on your Mac.
- The App reads only files and folders you select or drag into the App.
- Resized images are saved to a Resized folder near the original files (or selected output path behavior in-app).
- Your images are not uploaded by the App for processing.
3. macOS Permissions
The App may request access to folders such as Desktop, Documents, Downloads, or Pictures only to read selected images and save resized results.
The App may store security-scoped bookmarks locally on your device so it can continue accessing previously approved folders, consistent with macOS sandbox rules.
4. Local Settings Storage
The App stores basic preferences locally (for example, selected resolutions and output settings) using system local storage (e.g., UserDefaults). This data stays on your device and is not transmitted by the App.
5. In-App Purchase (Premium Pass)
The App offers a non-consumable in-app purchase: Premium Pass (com.kose.imageresizer.pro).
- Purchase processing, billing, and receipt validation are handled by Apple via StoreKit.
- We do not receive your full payment card details.
- Apple may process related transaction data under Apple’s own privacy policy and terms.
6. Data Sharing
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your image files with third parties for advertising or profiling.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date above.
